Getting Started with Aftrad β Performance Hub
Welcome to Aftrad! This guide walks you through everything you need to set up your first campaign β from creating your first Advertiser to sending live traffic.
What you'll set up in this guide
Aftrad's Performance Hub is built around three core entities that work together:
Advertisers β the companies or brands whose offers you will promote
Affiliates β the traffic partners who will send clicks to those offers
Offers β the specific campaigns that connect Advertisers with Affiliates, including tracking, payouts, and targeting rules
Once these three are in place and correctly connected, Aftrad handles the full click-to-conversion flow: tracking clicks, receiving conversion notifications from the Advertiser, and automatically firing postbacks to your Affiliates.
Step 1 β Create your first Advertiser
An Advertiser represents a brand or company whose offers you manage. You need at least one Advertiser before you can create any Offers.
What you'll do: Enter the Advertiser's name, assign an account manager, and set the initial status. By default, a new Advertiser is created as Postpaid. If you need Prepaid, change the payment method in the Account Balance tab afterwards.
Step 2 β Create your first Affiliate
An Affiliate is a traffic partner who will send clicks to your Offers. You'll need at least one active Affiliate to test and launch campaigns.
What you'll do: Enter the Affiliate's name, assign a manager, and set the status to Active so they can start sending traffic.
π‘ Tip: It's good practice to also create a dedicated internal "test" Affiliate from the start. You'll use it to simulate traffic and verify your Advertiser postback integration before going live. See How to manage Testlinks.
Step 3 β Create your first Offer
An Offer is the campaign itself. It connects an Advertiser's product with the Affiliates who will promote it. The Offer holds the Tracking URL, payout rules, targeting, and visibility settings.
What you'll do:
Select the Advertiser who owns this Offer
Enter the Tracking URL β the destination URL provided by the Advertiser, with the
{click_id}macro included so Aftrad can track each clickSet the Default payout β the commission amount or percentage paid per conversion
Choose the Visibility β Public, Protected, or Private β to control which Affiliates can see and access this Offer
Step 4 β Set up the Advertiser Postback URL
For Aftrad to record a conversion, the Advertiser must notify Aftrad when one occurs. This is done via a Postback URL β a URL that the Advertiser calls each time a conversion happens on their end.
What you'll do: Copy your Aftrad Postback URL from the Advertisers section and share it with the Advertiser. They will configure their platform to call this URL on each conversion, passing back the {click_id} that Aftrad sent in the original click.
β οΈ Important: The click_id parameter is what allows Aftrad to attribute each conversion to the correct Offer and Affiliate.
Step 5 β Configure the Affiliate Postback
Once Aftrad receives a conversion from the Advertiser, it needs to notify your Affiliates. This is done via the Affiliate Postback URL β a URL configured per Affiliate where Aftrad will fire a notification for each confirmed conversion.
What you'll do: In the Affiliate's profile, enter the postback URL provided by the Affiliate and map the parameters they expect to receive (e.g., their own click ID, payout amount, event type).
Step 6 β Get the Tracking URL for your Affiliates
Now that your Offer is live, you need to give each Affiliate their unique Tracking URL β the link they will place in their campaigns to send traffic to your Offer.
What you'll do: In the Offer's AFFILIATES tab, find the Affiliate and use the three-dot menu to copy their Tracking URL or use the Tracking Link Builder to customize it with additional parameters.
Step 7 β Test the full integration
Before sending real traffic, always test that the end-to-end flow works correctly: click β Advertiser receives click β Advertiser fires postback β Aftrad records conversion β Affiliate receives postback notification.
β οΈ Important: Test conversions appear in the Advertiser Events Report but are not counted in general stats or attributed to Affiliates β so you can test freely without affecting real data.
Step 8 β Monitor performance
Once live traffic is flowing, use Aftrad's Statistics section to monitor clicks, conversions, and revenue in real time, broken down by Offer, Affiliate, country, device, and more.

Step 9 β Expand with the Affiliate Marketplace
Make it easy for Affiliates to discover and join your Offers. The Marketplace gives Affiliates their own view of available Offers, where they can get their Tracking URLs, see payout details, and configure their postback β all without needing to contact you for every step.
