An Advertiser in Aftrad represents a brand or company whose offers you manage. Every Offer must belong to an Advertiser, so creating one is the first step before you can set up any campaigns.
How to create an Advertiser
Go to Advertisers and click Create in the top right corner. This opens the Advertiser creation form.
Fill in the following fields and click Save.
Name (mandatory)
The Advertiser's name as it will appear throughout the platform.
Advertiser Manager (mandatory)
The account manager responsible for this Advertiser. This is used for internal assignment and reporting purposes.
Status (mandatory)
Controls whether the Advertiser's Offers can receive traffic.
Active — the Advertiser is operational and their Offers can receive traffic. Use this for live Advertisers.
Pending — the Advertiser is being onboarded or reviewed. No traffic will be sent.
Paused — temporarily stops traffic to all of the Advertiser's Offers. Use this when you need to pause activity without deleting the account.
Blocked — the Advertiser is blocked from receiving traffic. Use this for Advertisers with compliance or payment issues.
Rejected — the Advertiser's application was not approved.
Deleted — marks the Advertiser as deleted. This is a soft delete; the record is retained for reporting purposes.
Payment method: Postpaid vs Prepaid
By default, every new Advertiser is created as Postpaid. The payment method determines how Aftrad manages the Advertiser's balance and whether traffic can be blocked automatically based on funds.
Postpaid — the Advertiser receives traffic and is billed after conversions occur. Their balance goes negative as conversions accumulate, and you settle it manually when they pay. Traffic is never automatically stopped based on balance.
Prepaid — the Advertiser must have a positive balance to receive traffic. Once their balance reaches zero or below, all their Offers automatically stop receiving traffic until the balance is topped up.
If you need to switch an Advertiser from Postpaid to Prepaid after creation, do it from
the Account Balance tab in their profile.
⚠️ Important: If you switch a Postpaid Advertiser to Prepaid while their balance is negative or zero, all their Offers will immediately stop receiving traffic. Top up their balance before switching to avoid any interruption.
