How to configure the Affiliate fallback

You can configure what you want to do when one offer is unavailable for one click in every affiliate. There can be different reasons for that:

  • Offer not active

  • The offer reaches the cap

  • Blacklisted source

  • The click doesn't match with the targeting

You have two main options:

  • Find alternative offer and report to the affiliate

  • Return click to traffic back URL

Find alternative offer and report to the affiliate

By selecting this option, Aftrad will find the most optimal offer for where to send the click. There are no additional jumps because all the processing is internal in the platform.

When you select this option, setting how the postback will be attributed to the affiliate is also necessary. There are two options:

  • attributed offer's payout value: If you select this option, every conversion will be attributed to the affiliate, regardless of whether the payout for the affiliate is the same as the requested offer.

  • requested offer's payout value: The conversion will only be attributed to the affiliate when the accumulated affiliate payout equals or exceeds the payout of the requested offer. Therefore, the platform will continue accumulating postbacks until the payout of the requested offer is reached. This will result in a discrepancy between the number of events recorded for the network and those for the affiliate. However, from the affiliates' point of view, they will always receive a postback with the same payout.

Return click to traffic back URL

By selecting this option, Aftrad will return the click to the URL configured in the field "Traffic Back URL"
