Restrictions bypass lets an affiliate's traffic reach an offer even when it doesn't match the offer's targeting, when the offer has reached its caps, or both. You set it as a default for the network, change it for an affiliate, and fine-tune it for one affiliate on one offer.
The options
Ignore targeting — the affiliate's clicks are accepted even if they don't match the offer's targeting (country, device, carrier…).
Ignore caps — the affiliate's traffic is still accepted when a cap is reached: any impressions, clicks, conversions or revenue cap of the offer, the affiliate's quota on the offer and the advertiser's global caps.
Turn on one, both or none.
Note: The bypass doesn't affect the offer's Offer fingerprint capping or Firewall options: they still apply. For example, if fingerprint capping allows 1 click every 10 minutes from the same user, an affiliate with Ignore targeting still gets only 1 click every 10 minutes accepted.
⚠️ Important: traffic that ignores targeting or caps reaches the advertiser anyway. Use it only when the advertiser agrees.
Where to set it
Each level uses the one above until you overwrite it.
Level | Where | Applies to |
Network default | Control → Configuration → General → Main setup → General defaults → Restrictions bypass | Every affiliate that hasn't overwritten it |
Affiliate | Affiliates → [affiliate] → GENERAL → Main setup → Affiliate setup → Restrictions bypass | All offers for this affiliate |
Offer + affiliate | Offers → [offer] → AFFILIATES → pencil icon → Restrictions bypass | This affiliate on this offer only |
On an affiliate
Open the affiliate's Affiliate setup section. While the affiliate uses the network default, the switches are greyed out: click them to overwrite the default, choose the options and click Save.
On one offer
Open the offer and go to the AFFILIATES tab.
Click the pencil icon on the affiliate's row.
In Restrictions bypass, click the switches to overwrite the affiliate's value, choose the options and click Save.
The Traffic exceptions column of the AFFILIATES list shows, for each affiliate, whether targeting, caps or both are ignored (Not set when neither).
