When Affiliate Signup is enabled, new affiliates can self-register through your network's marketplace login screen. By default, the registration form includes a standard set of fields (name, company, country, timezone, etc.). Custom fields let you extend this form with additional, network-specific information you want to collect during signup — such as traffic sources, verticals, tax ID, or any other detail relevant to your onboarding process.
Custom fields appear at the end of the registration form, after all standard fields, in the order they are created.
Configuring custom fields
Go to Settings → Performance Hub → Affiliate Signup. The Custom fields section is only visible when Affiliate Signup is set to Yes.
Click + Add custom field to create a new field.
Fill in the following:
Field label (mandatory) — the text shown to the affiliate on the registration form (e.g.
Main traffic source,Company size)Field type (mandatory) — cannot be changed after creation:
Free text — a single-line text input
Dropdown – single select — a dropdown where the affiliate can select one option
Dropdown – multi select — a control where the affiliate can select multiple options
Options — required for dropdown types. Type each option and press Enter or comma to add it. You can add as many options as needed.
Required / Optional — whether the field must be filled in before the affiliate can submit the registration form
Click Save. The new field appears in the Custom fields list and will be added to the registration form immediately.
Editing and deleting custom fields
Each custom field in the list can be edited or deleted using the icons on the right.
Editing: you can update the label, the list of options (for dropdown types), and the Required/Optional setting. The field type cannot be changed after creation.
Deleting: a confirmation dialog will appear before the field is removed. Note that deleting a field removes its value from all existing affiliate profiles that had already submitted data for it.
If a required custom field is added after some affiliates have already registered, existing profiles are not retroactively affected — the Required rule applies only to new registrations.
How custom fields appear to affiliates
When an affiliate signs up through the marketplace, the registration form includes all active custom fields at the end, in the order they are listed in the configuration. Required fields block form submission if left empty, with an inline validation message.
Custom fields on the affiliate profile
Once an affiliate submits the registration form, their custom field values are stored on their profile. You can view and edit them in the affiliate's General tab, in the Custom fields section.
A few things worth knowing:
In the affiliate's edit form, all custom fields are always optional, regardless of whether they were marked as Required in the signup configuration. The Required setting only applies to the registration form.
If a custom field is added to the network configuration after some affiliates have already registered, it will appear as an editable empty field on those affiliates' profiles.
If a custom field is removed from the network configuration, it disappears from all affiliate edit forms — except for affiliates who already have a value stored for that field, in which case the field and its value remain visible on their profile until manually cleared.
If a custom field label is renamed in the configuration, the updated label is reflected immediately in both the registration form and all affiliate edit forms.
Notification email
Custom field values filled in by the affiliate are included in the notification email sent to the Affiliate Registration Coordinator when a new registration is submitted, so the coordinator has the full context when reviewing the application.
