Advertiser Event Generator

The Advertiser Event Generator lets you manually create conversion events in Aftrad for clicks that haven't generated one yet. This is useful for testing your setup or registering revenue confirmed on the Advertiser side but not sent to Aftrad for any reason.

You'll find it under Advertiser Events → Generations.

Starting a new generation

Click Generate in the top right corner. A 4-step wizard will open.

Step 1 — Generation information

Enter a Generation name (mandatory) and an optional Description to identify this generation in the list.

Click Next.

Step 2 — Find IDs by criteria

Choose how you want to provide the list of click IDs for which events will be generated:

  • Get IDs from CSV — provide a CSV file with the click IDs yourself

  • Get IDs from the system — let Aftrad search for eligible click IDs based on filters you define

Option A — Get IDs from CSV

Upload a CSV file by clicking the upload area, or paste the content directly into the text field.

Each line in the CSV follows this format:

click_id,payout,event_type
  • click_id is mandatory. payout and event_type are optional, but their positions must always be present — use empty values when omitting them.

Combination

Example

click_id only

click_id_example_123,,

click_id + payout

click_id_example_123,10,

click_id + event_type

click_id_example_123,,default

click_id + payout + event_type

click_id_example_123,20,default

The two commas after the click_id are required even when payout and event_type are empty, to preserve the column positions.

Aftrad will validate each click ID — verifying it exists in the system and has not yet generated an event — and list the valid ones for you to review in the next step.

Option B — Get IDs from the system

Aftrad will search for click IDs that match the criteria you configure. Only click IDs that have not yet generated an event or conversion will be included — click IDs with an existing event are automatically excluded.

Required criteria

  • Number of events — how many click IDs to retrieve (up to this maximum)

  • Start date / End date — the date range to search within, based on when the click was received

  • Affiliate — the Affiliate whose clicks you want to search

Optional criteria

  • Country — filter by the country of the click

  • Carrier — filter by mobile carrier

  • Platform — filter by device type: CTV, Desktop, Mobile, Other, or Tablet

  • Requested target type:

    • Offer — select a specific offer; an Offer dropdown will appear

    • Smartlink — select a specific smartlink; a Smartlink dropdown will appear, and you can also specify the Offer the traffic was routed to within that smartlink

Click Next. If no click IDs match the criteria, a message will indicate that no results were found.

Step 3 — Edit event parameters

Aftrad displays the list of click IDs found. Each one shows its Click ID, System response (✅ Valid and found), and the current values for Date, Payout, and Event type.

  • Select individual click IDs using the checkboxes, or select all using the header checkbox

  • Set global event parameters that apply to all selected click IDs: enter an Event type and Payout value in the parameters table at the top

  • Set per-click parameters by expanding each row individually and entering different values for that specific click ID

Click Next once you've selected the click IDs and configured the parameters.

Step 4 — Review and approve

A Summary shows all the click IDs that will receive a generated event, with their final Payout and Event type values. Expand any row to see the full click ID details — affiliate, country, offer, platform, and other attributes.

When you're ready, click Generate events.

Generation queued

Since generating events is a background process, a confirmation dialog will appear:

"Generation queued. This process may take a while to generate all the events. If you can't see the events in the report, retry after a delay."

  • Click Close to dismiss and return to the Generations list.

  • Click View details to go directly to Advertiser Events → Events, pre-filtered by the Generation ID of this batch, where you can monitor the status of each generated event.
